A few years ago, we began partnering with Collective Good on a cell phone donation program. Collective Good refurbishes the phones and provides them to charitable causes at a reduced rate, which generates funds back to charities such as ours. Even non-working phones that cannot be refurbished are properly disposed of by removing the batteries and any hazardous components before sending them to a landfill. The hazardous materials are sent to environmental reclamation companies who properly dispose of them.
It is now easier than ever for Ashley's Angel Fund supporters to make phone donations to Collective Good on our behalf. There are three ways that you can donate :
- Visit the official Collective Good website at www.CollectiveGood.com and follow the instructions under "DONATE". You can select Ashley's Angel Fund using the "Charity by Type" links on the left in the "Animals" section or in the "Alphabetic" listing. Or select us through "Charity by Region" under "North Carolina." Follow the instructions to complete and print a donation / shipping form, then send the items you wish to donate to the address on the form. As a shortcut, click on one of the buttons on our website that says "Collective Good website Click Here" to go directly to the form.
- We have volunteers willing to set up pickup times / meetings with anyone in the Raleigh area who would like to donate their old & unused phones. To make contact with us click here to email us and we will coordinate a time and place for a pickup.
- We have several drop-off locations established at our affiliated Veterinary Hospitals:Quail Corners, Durant Road, Falls Village, Peak Plaza, Willow Run animal hospitals.
If you need a tax form, please use option 2 above and email us for a specific pickup.
Please Note - Handheld Cell Phones, Pagers, and PDAs qualify for the program now. Also if you have the battery chargers or adapters of any kind for any of the devices please include those with your donation as it will increase the credit Ashley's Angel Fund receives.
